Annotation: This report documents crime trends and statistics in Illinois in 1990.
Abstract: The report describes the Illinois Uniform Crime Reporting Program, programs of the Chicago Police Department and Downstate Illinois and the Cook County Sheriff's Office, and classification of crime index offenses. The first section analyzes violent crime and property crime trends. The next section covers offense and clearance data, followed by an analysis of adult and juvenile arrest statistics. The section analyzing crime index and crime rate data uses current census information and data supplied by various local and State agencies. Maps and summaries comprise the section on crime in Illinois metropolitan statistical areas. Finally, the report covers law enforcement officer and agency information. 1 appendix
