Annotation: This directory is an information resource designed to support criminal justice policymakers, practitioners, and researchers in their efforts to improve criminal justice system management.
Abstract: It describes justice-related issues and problems in 1990 and summarizes substantive and methodological research undertaken by Statistical Analysis Centers (SAC's) in response to these issues and problems. Section 1 contains a brief summary of SAC research and analysis activities listed in the directory. Section 2 provides a detailed listing of SAC activities including project title, description, data sources, and contact person. The list is in alphabetical order by State to aid the reader in locating a particular State or agency. Section 3 indexes all SAC activities by issue area, while Section 4 includes a list of recent SAC reports. The final section consists of two appendixes: the first appendix contains the address and telephone number of each SAC, and the second appendix briefly describes the Justice Research and Statistics Association and its products.
