Annotation: This document contains information on operations financed by the former United Nations Fund for Drug Abuse Control (UNFDAC) during the 1971-1991 period as well as information on the funding situation as of December 31, 1991.
Abstract: The data show that new contributions pledged increased by 21 percent from 1990 to 1991, from $41.7 million to $50.5 million. Actual cash received from donors increased by 7 percent, from $64.5 million in 1990 to $69.1 million in 1991. Total expenditures between the 2 years rose from $36.9 million to $48.4 million. Detailed expenditure breakdowns are provided by sector, object of expenditure, executing agency, recipient country and region, and general and special-purpose contributions. Detailed data are also given for funding sources (major donors and general and special-purpose contributors). A financial statement is included that identifies income, expenditures, assets, and liabilities as of December 31, 1991. Contributions for the 1971-1991 period, to include pledges and collections, are noted in an annex.
