Annotation: The Nebraska Department of Correctional Facilities reports on its services and programs for the year 1990-1991.
Abstract: A roster is provided of the departments facilities and program with their directors and locations. Information on the organization, statutory authority, history, and accreditation is provided together with recidivism data, total incarcerated population, monthly population, and the population versus design capacity. Also included is the Division of Administrative Services with reports on its organization structure; program statement; budget; fiscal management; medical service; planning, research, and safety program; cornhusker State industries and Federal surplus property, and legal service; personnel management and staff training; and security coordination. The Division of Adult Services reports on its organizational structure and its programs at the State penitentiary and at the Hastings, Lincoln, and Omaha Correctional Centers. Programs include inmate classification, mental health, academic and vocational, interstate corrections, volunteer services and inmate programs, and adult parole administration programs. The Division of Juvenile Services reports on the youth development centers at Kearney and Geneva and on the juvenile parole administration. 22 tables and 15 charts
