Abstract: |
One table provides statistics on initiating agency and age of child for completed protection applications, and another table provides the same data for completed applications that claim irreconcilable differences. The number of children charged in the criminal division (completed cases) is also indicated, followed by a table that shows elapsed times by number of adjournments. A table displays the result of Family Division matters heard and Criminal Division dispositions before children's courts. Case outcomes by sex and age of child for completed applications in the Family Division and for completed cases in the Criminal Division are shown. Tables indicate principal offense type by outcome for criminal cases; the same data are also shown by age at final hearing. The final table addresses analysis of grounds for protection applications (person based). Appendixes contain selected Victorian legislation and regulations in act number order and alphabetical order, codes for the return of completed business, and act and section reference standards. Explanatory notes are provided. |
