Annotation: This report details the activities and accomplishments of the correctional industries in Illinois during fiscal year 1993.
Abstract: Inmate assignments with correctional industries increased 9 percent during the year. All programs operate on funds generated by their sales. In recent years, the programs have generated record sales, enabling the expansion of existing operations and the creation of new programs. Both the production and agricultural divisions are committed to the creation of products and services that meet the needs of customers in a cost-effective manner, provide positive work experiences for inmates, and help them prepare for a return to the community.
