Annotation: This manual focuses on the education and behavior change approach to violence prevention by identifying and describing educational curricula, videos, and other materials.
Abstract: The first section annotates 84 violent prevention print resources; each entry includes title, author, publisher and publication date, length, and price, and a description of its goals, format, and structure. The second section describes a variety of violent prevention video resources, some of which demonstrate specific violence prevention techniques that can be used to train teachers and other youth workers. The third section contains additional curricula and some noncurricular materials that might be helpful to those planning violence prevention programs. Finally, the directory includes an alphabetical listing of distributors of the materials listed here. 4 tables
