Annotation: To strengthen the response of Federal programs to the needs of domestic violence victims, the Interdepartmental Commitee on Domestic Violence was established in 1979 and a review of Federal programs providing victim assistance resulted in the publication of a handbook on Federal domestic violence resources.
Abstract: The handbook is designed to help users identify pertinent Federal funding for domestic violence programs. It is organized alphabetically by government agency. Within each agency heading, programs are arranged in numerical order by Office of Management and Budget number. In addition to a detailed table of contents, a subject index is provided to help readers identify programs by specific categories. Domestic violence program descriptions include information on funding, assistance, eligibility, accomplishments, and information contacts.
