Annotation: Delaware applied for fiscal year 1995 funding under the Edward Byrne Memorial State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance Formula Grant Program to support the State's drug control strategy and the mission and goals of the Delaware Criminal Justice Council.
Abstract: The application for Formula Grant Program funding contains information on programs to be funded in fiscal year 1995. These programs focus on effective drug prevention and education and early intervention initiatives, innovative approaches to facilitate the speedy processing of offenders from arrest through disposition, the expansion of sanctions and rehabilitative options for offenders within correctional and community settings, the promotion of interdisciplinary drug reduction approaches that emphasize community partnerships and empowerment, data collection and management, program evaluation, and victim restoration. The funding application also contains information and data on the nature and extent of the crime problem in Delaware, crime prevention efforts, crime prevention strategy goals and resource needs, and funding priorities.
