Annotation: The Network on Juvenile Sex Offenders in Nevada reports on the quantity and availability of services for juvenile sex offenders and the victims of such offenders, and suggests improvements.
Abstract: The Network recommends the following: (1) statewide Juvenile Sex Offender Coordinator; (2) comprehensive juvenile sex offender treatment program; (3) juvenile sex offender advisory board; (4) restitution by juvenile sex offenders; (5) family custody and payment for treatment; (6) training for all personnel who will be involved in multidisciplinary teams to handle juvenile sex offenders; (7) make available funding to sponsor the 1992 Annual Conference of the National Task Force on Juveniles Offending Sexually; (8) program evaluation by the Advisory Board and Coordinator; and (9) report to the Governor and Legislature by the Advisory Board and Coordinator. The report includes statistical data on juvenile sex offenses in Nevada; National Task Force recommendations; additional issues for consideration by State agencies; and a cost analysis.
