Abstract: |
The Rural Domestic Violence and Child Victimization Enforcement Grant Program, referred to as the “Rural Program”, is administered by the U.S. Department of Justice, Violence Against Women Office. The program focuses on the needs and unique characteristics of rural communities to address domestic violence and child victimization. The Rural Program works in a collaborative way to address both these issues to improve and increase the services available to women and children and enhance community involvement in developing a jurisdiction’s response to domestic violence and child victimization. The brochure offers a detailed explanation of the Rural Program which includes program eligibility, program goals, program strategy, availability of funds, and eligibility requirements.
