Annotation: This document presents the Office for Victims of Crime’s (OVC's) training calendar for victim service providers for the period January through May 2004.
Abstract: OVC offers workshops throughout the country to address the technical concerns of professionals in the victim service field, as well as to enhance leadership skills, professional development, and training design and delivery. Descriptions of all the workshops and mini-workshops offered by OVC around the country between January and May 2004 are provided, including information on the cost, location, and who should attend. Workshop topics include training design and delivery, sexual assault advocacy /counselor training, professional development, and leadership. Mini-workshops focus on the impact of sexual assault, the principles and practices of adult learning, combating compassion fatigue, and human resource development. Costs of the mini-workshops range from $50 to $100, while the costs of the full workshops range from $200 to $350. A registration form is provided; registration can also be handled via the Internet. Contact information for OVC is included.
