Abstract: Data on the population of adult corrections facilities encompass the average daily population and capacity by month, the female average daily population and capacity by month, and the average daily population per month by type of facility. Data on the characteristics of residents, facilities, and work release address distribution by military services; distribution of offense by location; distribution of offense by race and Hispanic origin; distribution of county of conviction of offenders currently housed in rented beds out of State; and distribution of location by race and Hispanic origin, by violent crime convictions among inmates serving Washington State sentences, by age category, by race and Hispanic origin for female inmates, and by county of conviction. Admissions data are presented by month, type of admission, and sex; by type of admission and country of conviction; by age at admission, race, Hispanic origin, and sex; by county of conviction, race, and Hispanic origin; and by offense and type of admission. Also, admissions and releases are compared by month. Data on releases from facilities are presented by month, type of release, and sex, as well as by type of release, race, and Hispanic origin. In addition to data on release type by length of stay, data are also provided on length of stay of releases by category of admission; by special sentences; by category of expected-release-time group; and by offense for new admission, readmission, WEP graduate, and DOSA offenders. Data on custody distributions of residents within facilities pertain to current custody classification by location, by most recent override reason (excluding minimum custody scores with minimum placement), by most recent placement reason for nonstandard minimum assignments, and by population assignment and sex. Data on initial custody classification are by sex and score, as well as by override reason and score. 34 tables and 3 charts
