Annotation: This Arkansas Judiciary Statistical Supplement for Calendar Year 2006 presents data on court activity for appellate courts, general jurisdiction courts, and limited jurisdiction courts.
Abstract: Arkansas Supreme Court data address caseload and petition activity, written opinions, and disposition summary. A map is provided to show Arkansas' court of appeals districts. Data on court of appeals' activity cover caseload, petition, written opinions, and disposition summary. For general jurisdiction courts, a map shows Arkansas' judicial districts. Charts display circuit courts caseload activity, State case processing times, statewide filings by case type, total cases filed for all courts, total cases terminated, total cases pending, and total cases pending over 2 years. Circuit courts are ranked by filings per judge. Other data on general jurisdiction courts show circuit court disposition rates; cases pending for over 2 years; and summaries of criminal caseload, civil caseload, chancery caseload, probate caseload, and juvenile caseload. For limited jurisdiction courts, charts present a statewide summary of district and city courts' activity, as well as district court filings. Summaries are provided for district court caseload and city court caseload. A section entitled "Miscellaneous" presents data on Spanish interpretation in circuit and district courts, along with other language interpretation. Numerous tables and figures
