Annotation: THIS IS A HYPOTHETICAL EXAMPLE OF HOW ONE IMAGINARY STATE NAMED 'COMPOSITE' PROCEEDS WITH THE PLANNING AND ANALYSIS PHASES WHICH INITIATE AN OBSCIS PROJECT.
Abstract: THE PROJECT IS CARRIED THROUGH THE INITIAL PROCEDURES FOR TAILORING SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS TO THE NEEDS OF A SPECIFIC CORRECTIONS AUTHORITY. THE OBSCIS MODEL WAS DESIGNED TO REPRESENT A FRAMEWORK FOR EACH STATE TO FOLLOW IN DESIGNING ITS OWN INDIVIDUALIZED CORRECTIONS INFORMATION SYSTEM. THE MODEL HAS THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS: ADMISSIONS; ASSESSMENT; PROGRAM REPORTING AND DISCIPLINARY INCIDENT REPORTING; PAROLE; MOVEMENT STATUS; LEGAL STATUS; MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH; AND NATIONAL REPORTING.
