Annotation: RESULTS OF A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF NEBRASKA JUVENILE COURT CASES FOR SUCH VARIABLES AS REASON FOR REFERRAL, DISPOSITION, PRIOR REFERRALS, SEX, FAMILY INCOME, ETHNIC GROUP, AREA, AND LIVING ARRANGEMENT.
Abstract: THE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS PERFORMED ON THE 1974 JUVENILE COURT REPORTING DATA WAS THE CHI SQUARE TEST OF ASSOCIATION. SIXTEEN ASSOCIATIONS WERE ANALYZED; OF THESE, ELEVEN WERE SIGNIFICANT. SIGNIFICANT RELATIONS WERE FOUND BETWEEN REASON FOR REFERRAL AND SEX, AREA, FAMILY INCOME, ETHNIC GROUP, AND LIVING ARRANGEMENT; BETWEEN DISPOSITION AND SEX, AREA, FAMILY INCOME, AND ETHIC GROUP; AND BETWEEN PRIOR REFERRALS AND AREA. RESULTS ARE PRESENTED IN TABULAR FORM.
