Annotation: PRECAUTIONS ARE SHOWN THAT CAN MINIMIZE THE RISK TO CHILDREN FROM CHILD MOLESTERS AND THE RISK TO WOMEN FROM RAPISTS.
Abstract: THE PREVAILING THEME OF THIS FILM IS TO AVOID DEALING WITH STRANGERS. THE NARRATOR, LORNE GREENE, STATES THAT IT IS BETTER TO BE RUDE THAN VICTIMIZED. CHILDREN ARE ADVISED TO RUN AWAY FROM STRANGERS AND TO SCREAM IF CONFRONTED. WOMEN ARE ADVISED NEVER TO HITCHHIKE. IF THEY MUST, THEY SHOULDN'T DO IT ALONE AND, AMONG OTHER THINGS, THEY SHOULDN'T GET INTO VANS OR CARS WITH MORE THAN ONE MAN IN THEM. SIMILAR PRECAUTIONS ARE PRESENTED FOR OTHER SITUATIONS.
