SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENTS AND PROGRAMS FOR THE YEAR INCLUDED DIVERSION OF CERTAIN FIRST OFFENDER MISDEMEANORS TO THE SPECIAL EVALUATION UNIT, FORMAL BAIL EVALUATION, NEW FUNDING FOR A CITIZEN COMPLAINT UNIT, CREATION OF A RAPE VICTIM SUPPORT UNIT, FUNDING FOR WITNESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS, AND DEVELOPMENT OF A STRONGER PRETRIAL UNIT. STATISTICS ARE PROVIDED ON CASELOADS, CRIMES AND ARRESTS, AND FELONY AND CHILDREN'S COURT STATISTICS.
