Annotation: INCLUDED IN THIS CONFERENCE REPORT ARE A CONFERENCE REVIEW, SUMMARIES OF THE FOUR CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS, AN EVALUATION OF THE CONFERENCE, AND A SELECTED BIBLIOGRAPHY.
Abstract: MANY GROUPS WERE REPRESENTED AT THIS CONFERENCE, INCLUDING DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION EMPLOYEES, JUDGES, LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS, LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC, AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE EDUCATORS. AFTER GENERAL DISCUSSIONS AND A REVIEW OF EACH CORRECTIONAL DIVISION'S FUNCTIONS AND PROGRAMS, SEVERAL WORKSHOPS WERE CONDUCTED. THERE WERE FOUR SESSIONS HELD ON SUCH TOPICS AS PRISONS, ADULT PROBATION AND PAROLE, YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT. SUGGESTIONS RESULTING FROM THE CONFERENCE EVALUATION ARE SUMMARIZED.
