Annotation: SUMMARY INFORMATION ON JUVENILE CASES BY SUCH FACTORS AS SOCIAL AND DEMOGRAPHIC BACKGROUND AND COURT INVOLVEMENT IS TABULATED FOR THE ENTIRE STATE, AND IS PRESENTED WITH SIMILAR STATISTICS FROM EACH COURT DISTRICT.
Abstract: IN THE COMPREHENSIVE STATE STATISTICS, JUVENILE CASES ARE ANALYZED FOR SUCH SPECIFIC FACTORS AS MANNER OF HANDLING, SEX, AGE, SOURCE OF REFERRAL, NUMBER OF PRIOR REFERRALS, PLACE OF CARE PENDING HEARINGS, REASON REFERRED, AND CASE DISPOSITION. COMPARATIVE STATISTICS FOR JUVENILE COURT FROM PREVIOUS YEARS ARE ALSO PROVIDED. THE STATE YOUTH AUTHORITY STATISTICS INCLUDE DATA ON NUMBERS OF CHILDREN UNDER CUSTODY; CURRENT PLACEMENTS; AND THE AGE, SEX MARITAL STATUS OF PARENTS, AND REASON FOR COMMITTAL FOR CHILDREN UNDER CUSTODY.
