Annotation: THE GOAL OF THIS CONTRACT WAS TO FOSTER AND FACILITATE THE TRANSFER TO AND ADOPTION OF THIS COMPUTER-BASED SYSTEM BY INTERESTED PROSECUTION AND COURT AGENCIES AT THE STATE AND LOCAL LEVEL.
Abstract: THE SPECIFIC TASKS CONTRACTED FOR TO ACCOMPLISH THIS OBJECTIVE WERE AS FOLLOWS: DEVELOPMENT OF DOCUMENTATION FOR AN ON-LINE INQUIRY PACKAGE FOR THE PROMIS TRANSFER PACKAGE; CONTINUATION OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO PROSECUTORS AND OTHER PUBLIC LAW AGENCIES INTERESTED IN PROMIS; PREPARATION OF PROTOTYPE DOCUMENTATION ON THE MANUAL USE OF PROMIS BY NONAUTOMATED OFFICES; A PROMIS COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS; AND ADMINISTRATION AND SUPPORT OF PROMIS USERS GROUP. THE OBJECTIVES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF EACH TASK IN THE CONTRACT ARE DESCRIBED. (THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE DESCRIBED BY DETERMINING WHAT WAS ACCOMPLISHED AND THE TECHNICAL APPROACH USED TO PERFORM EACH TASK.) RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE PROMIS TRANSFERABILITY EFFORTS ARE INCLUDED. APPENDED ARE LISTS OF JURISDICTIONS PLANNING FOR OR IMPLEMENTING PROMIS AND JURISDICTIONS/ORGANIZATIONS ATTENDING PROMIS BRIEFINGS.
