Annotation: DESIGN MODIFICATIONS ARE SUGGESTED FOR ACHIEVING A FUNCTIONAL, LIGHT-WEIGHT (COMPARATIVELY), ECONOMICAL POLICE VEHICLE ON A CHEVROLET BLAZER (A FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE, HEAVY DUTY VEHICLE) CHASSIS.
Abstract: PROTOTYPE PRODUCTION COSTS ARE CALCULATED AS ARE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS AND PASSENGER COMFORT FACTORS. THE BLAZER AND OTHER SIMILAR SHORT-CHASSIS BASES WERE CHOSEN TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM INTERIOR SPACE AND MINIMUM EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS. ONLY THE CHASSIS WOULD BE UTILIZED: THE VEHICLES WOULD BE EQUIPPED WITH A COMPLETELY REWORKED BODY. SEE ALSO NCJ-84194, 34195, 34196, 34166, AND 34168.
