Annotation: THIS FINAL REPORT SUMMARIZES THE ACTIVITIES OF A POLICE UNIT MADE UP OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN EAST ORANGE (NJ) ORGANIZED AS A MEANS OF RE-ESTABLISHING POLICE RAPPORT WITH THE COMMUNITY.
Abstract: THE UNIT WAS SUPPOSED TO FURTHER POLICE/COMMUNITY RELATIONS, ESPECIALLY WITH STUDENTS, WHICH HAD SUFFERED WITH THE INCREASE IN POLICE VEHICLE PATROLS. THIS REPORT DESCRIBES ATTEMPTS TO TRAIN AND EQUIP THE PATROL. WHEN FUNDS RAN OUT AFTER FIVE MONTHS, THE PROGRAM WAS TERMINATED.
