Annotation: FINAL REPORT ON A PROJECT TO PROVIDE MANAGEMENT TRAINING AND SKILLS TO FIRST-TERM SHERIFFS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY.
Abstract: THE OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM WERE TO EXPOSE SHERIFFS TO CURRENT MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND TRENDS, TO IDENTIFY AVAILABLE MANAGEMENT RESOURCES, TO PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE SHERIFFS TO OBTAIN THIS MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE, AND TO PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE SHERIFFS TO PRACTICE KEY MANAGEMENT SKILLS. IN THE JUDGMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (WHERE THE COURSES WERE GIVEN) STAFF, THE LEVEL OF ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES HAS BEEN HIGH. COURSE DESCRIPTIONS ARE PROVIDED.
