Abstract: IN DOING SO, IT BUILDS UPON AND INTEGRATES THE INFORMATION PRESENTED WITHIN A PRELIMINARY REPORT, 'ISSUES IN TRADITIONAL PREVENTIVE PATROL: A REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE' (NCJ-35448), WITH THE ANALYSIS OF INFORMATION GAINED DURING SITE VISITS TO 26 POLICE DEPARTMENTS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY AND A REVIEW OF PERTINENT ONGOING AND COMPLETED PROJECTS.
