Annotation: HANDBOOK DEVELOPED FOR US ARMY TEST AND EVALUATION COMMAND (USATECOM) PHYSICAL SECURITY OFFICERS TO PROVIDE A READY SOURCE OF GUIDANCE-TYPE REFERENCE MATERIALS ON PHYSICAL SECURITY EQUIPMENT.
Abstract: DATA WAS ASSEMBLED FROM SEVERAL SOURCES TO AID IN THE APPLICATION OF TECHNICAL STANDARDS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND PROCEDURES AND TO FACILITATE MORE COST EFFECTIVE SELECTION AND APPLICATION OF PHYSICAL SECURITY EQUIPMENT. A GENERAL DISCUSSION OF PHYSICAL SECURITY IS FOLLOWED BY CHAPTERS DEALING WITH THE USES, SELECTION AND INSTALLATION, AND OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF INTRUSION DETECTION ALARM SYSTEMS. APPENDIXES CONTAIN A LIST OF MANUFACTURERS OF INTRUSION DETECTION ALARM SYSTEMS; INTERIM FEDERAL SPECIFICATION FOR INTERIOR, PROTECTIVE ALARM SYSTEMS; AND A DRAFT OF DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY STANDARDS FOR INTERIOR INTRUSION DETECTION EQUIPMENT FOR PHYSICAL SECURITY APPLICATION.
