Annotation: THIS MANUAL FOCUSES ON THE PRAGMATIC USES OF COMPUTER INFORMATION PROCESSING CAPABILITIES IN THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE, ESPECIALLY IN THE AREAS OF OFFICE MANAGEMENT AND LEGAL RESEARCH.
Abstract: IT IS DESIGNED TO AID IN EVALUATING OR EXTENDING EXISTING DATA PROCESSING PROGRAMS AND IN CONSIDERING INSTALLATION OF PROGRAMS WHERE THEY ARE NOT NOW IN USE. A GENERAL DISCUSSION OF COMPUTERS AS MANAGEMENT AIDS IS PROVIDED AS WELL AS A DISCUSSION OF MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS. ATTORNEYS GENERAL'S COMPUTERIZED INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN WISCONSIN, MISSOURI, COLORADO, CALIFORNIA, NEW JERSEY, AND PENNSYLVANIA ARE DESCRIBED. SPECIAL APPLICATIONS OF COMPUTERS INCLUDING THEIR USE IN CONDUCTING LEGAL RESEARCH ARE ALSO EXAMINED.
