IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, BROCHURES WERE PREPARED SUMMARIZING THE WORK OF EIGHT LOCAL DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS AND WERE MAILED TO 4500 IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE COMMUNITY, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN AMERICAN SAMOA, ARIZONA, CALIFORNIA, NEVADA, AND PAGO PAGO, THE JURISDICTIONS THAT MAKE UP REGION IX. IN ADDITION TO THE BROCHURES, THE PROJECT DISSEMINATED TWO NEWSLETTERS, CONDUCTED A WORKSHOP FOR 85 INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN MEETING WITH DEMONSTRATION PROJECT DIRECTORS, AND SENT OUT QUESTIONNAIRES TO THE 4500 PERSONS ON THE MAILING LIST TO EVALUATE PROJECT SUCCESS OR FAILURE.
