Annotation: EVALUATION OF THE SECOND YEAR OF A PROGRAM TO PROVIDE JOB AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AS WELL AS COUNSELING AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS TO SELECTED DETAINEES IN THE OZAUKEE COUNTY (WI) JAILS.
Abstract: DEMOGRAPHIC, CRIMINAL HISTORY AND STATUS, AND SERVICES PROVIDED DATA WERE COLLECTED ON EACH INDIVIDUAL SERVED BY EACH PARTICIPATING PROJECT. ADDITIONAL DATA WERE OBTAINED FROM GRANT APPLICATIONS, STATE PLANNING AGENCY RECOMMENDATION SUMMARIES, GRANT FILES, SITE VISITS, TELEPHONE INTERVIEWS, AND FOLLOW-UPS ON SELECTED CLIENTS. THE DATA PRESENTED IN THIS REPORT COVERS CLIENT SERVICES BETWEEN JANUARY 1 AND OCTOBER 31, 1976. THE EVALUATION SHOWED THAT THE PROJECT EXCEEDED ITS ENROLLMENT SPECIFICATIONS, MET COUNSELING SERVICE OBJECTIVES, PARTIALLY MET EMPLOYMENT GOALS, AND FAILED TO MEET EDUCATIONAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS.
