Annotation: A PARTICIPANT'S EVALUATION, DATED OCTOBER 3, 1976, OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING INSTITUTE (JPI), WHICH WAS CONDUCTED FOR NEW JERSEY STATE AND LOCAL PLANNERS.
Abstract: THE EVALUATION DESIGN CALLED FOR BEFORE AND AFTER TESTING OF PLANNERS WHO ATTENDED THE THREE ONE-WEEK SESSIONS OF THE INSTITUTE HELD IN SEPTEMBER AND DECEMBER, 1975 AND MARCH, 1976. THE TESTS WERE CONDUCTED TO MEASURE THE CHANGE IN THE PARTICIPANTS' DEGREE OF FAMILIARITY WITH SUBJECT AREAS THAT WOULD EQUIP THEM WITH SKILLS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING TECHNIQUES. TWENTY-EIGHT SEPARATE TABLES, ONE FOR EACH SUBJECT AREA, SHOW THE RESULTS OF TESTING 38 RESPONDENTS OUT OF AN APPROXIMATE 100 PARTICIPANTS. RESULTS INDICATE THAT THE CJPI WAS GENERALLY SUCCESSFUL IN EDUCATING CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNERS ON MOST SUBJECT AREAS. THE QUESTIONNAIRE USED IN TESTING IS INCLUDED....TWH
