Annotation: THE HOME PROVIDES SHORT TERM RESIDENCE FOR ADOLESCENT GIRLS NEEDING SERVICES WHICH INCLUDE PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION, EXTENDED FAMILY COUNSELING, TREATMENT, AND PLACEMENT.
Abstract: THE EVALUATION DESIGN OF THIS PROGRAM THAT ADMITTED 135 GIRLS IN FISCAL 1975 CONSISTED OF THREE MAJOR ASPECTS: STAFF INTERVIEWS, QUESTIONNAIRES SENT TO PARENTS AND GIRLS, AND A FOLLOWUP OF GIRLS WHO HAVE BEEN RESIDENTS AT THE CLINIC. RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDED REDUCTION IN STAFF TURNOVER, IMPLEMENTATION OF CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES, IMPLEMENTAION OF PROGRAMS TO REDUCE RUNAWAY INCIDENTS, FOLLOW-UP EVALUATIONS OF GIRLS, AND HAVING GIRLS PRESENT DURING DISCUSSION OF THEIR PSYCHIATRIC AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST RESULTS....TWH
