Annotation: THIS DOCUMENT IS A REPORT OF THE HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT EFFORT FOR THE BURGLAR ALARM SYSTEM PROGRAMS FUNDED BY THE LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION.
Abstract: THE PURPOSE OF THIS EFFORT WAS TO DEVELOP ALL OF THE BURGLAR ALARM SYSTEM COMPONENTS WHICH WERE PREVIOUSLY IDENTIFIED AND SPECIFIED AS A RESULT OF THE SYSTEMS DESIGN PHASE CONDUCTED EARLIER. AFTER A BRIEF INTRODUCTION, AN EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF THE RESULTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT EFFORT IS PRESENTED. THIS IS FOLLOWED BY A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THE OVERALL BURGLARY ALARM SYSTEM (BAS), ITS INSTALLATION, OPERATION, AND THE HARDWARE DETAILS OF EACH OF THE INDIVIDUAL SUBSYSTEMS. THE SOFTWARE REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE BAS SYSTEM DESIGN IS ALSO SPECIFIED. SOFTWARE IS RESIDENT IN THREE OF THE BAS SUBSYSTEMS: THE CENTRAL PROCESSOR, THE ENTRANCE CONTROL, AND THE CENTRAL STATION. FINALLY, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS RESULTING FROM COMPLETION OF THE BAS PROGRAM ARE PRESENTED. SUBSYSTEMS SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS AND PARTS LISTS ARE GIVEN IN THE FIRST APPENDIX, WHILE THE REMAINING APPENDICES PROVIDE FLOW CHARTS FOR ALL OF THE SYSTEM SOFTWARE AND A PROGRAM LISTING FOR THAT SAME SOFTWARE.
