Annotation: EACH MAJOR ASPECT OF THIS BURGLARY PREVENTION PROGRAM IS EVALUATED TO REVEAL A GENERALLY EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF GOALS AND OBJECTIVES.
Abstract: THE MINNESOTA CRIME WATCH'S EMPHASIS DURING YEARS ONE AND TWO WAS ON BURGLARY PREVENTION, WITH OPERATION IDENTIFICATION BEING A MAJOR COMPONENT. MCW IS UNIQUE IN ITS ATTEMPT TO COORDINATE OPERATION IDENTIFICATION IN EVERY COMMUNITY IN THE STATE, USING A UNIFORM STICKER DESIGN AND NUMBERING SYSTEM. THE STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAM WAS DIVIDED INTO THE FOLLOWING AREAS FOR IMPLEMENTATION: DIRECT PUBLIC INFORMATION ABOUT BURGLARY PREVENTION; LOCAL AGENCY IMPLEMENTATION OF PREVENTION MEASURES; CRIME PREVENTION TRAINING; CRIME PREVENTION REORIENTATION; AND PREMISE SECURITY. EACH OF THESE PROGRAM ASPECTS IS EVALUATED AND RECOMMENDATIONS ARE OFFERRED....RCB
