Abstract: AN OVERVIEW OF THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM AND THE TEXAS YOUTH COUNCIL (TYC) IS PRESENTED. THE GOALS OF THE MASTER PLAN ARE DISCUSSED: DIVERSION, STATE HOMES, PROBATION ASSISTANCE, COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE, INTENSIVE PROGRAM, EXCEPTIONAL PROGRAM, MAXIMUM TO MEDIUM SUPERVISION, PRERELEASE AND CAREER PLANNING, PAROLE RESIDENTIAL CARE, PAROLE FOLLOWUP, REINTEGRATION, AND TYC ORGANIZATION. THE TYC ORGANIZATION AND SERVICES ARE DESCRIBED.
