Annotation: GRANT APPLICATION INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES ARE PRESENTED IN AN ANNOUNCEMENT DIRECTED TO MISSOURI AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS INTERESTED IN OBTAINING OMNIBUS CRIME CONTROL AND SAFE STREETS ACT FUNDING.
Abstract: THE ANNOUNCEMENT WAS PREPARED BY THE MISSOURI COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE, WHICH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DISBURSING FEDERAL FUNDS UNDER THE ACT. PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS INDICATE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMS TO BE FUNDED, AGENCIES THAT WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE FUNDS, CRITERIA FOR PROJECTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR FUNDING, AND EVALUATION GUIDELINES FOR THE PROGRAMS. DESCRIPTIONS ARE PRESENTED FOR SPECIFIC PROGRAMS WITHIN THE GENERAL PROGRAM AREAS OF POLICE, COURTS, JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, CORRECTIONS, AND CRIME PREVENTION. THE ANNOUNCEMENT ALSO CONTAINS GENERAL GUIDELINES THAT APPLY TO FUNDING IN ALL PROGRAM AREAS, A FLOW CHART DEPICTING THE GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS, AND A PREAPPLICATON FORM FOR SUBMISSION OF PROJECT IDEAS.
