DEVELOPMENTAL CHANGES OBSERVED IN SUBJECT BEHAVIOR IN THERAPY SESSIONS AND GUIDED AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE ACTUAL PSYCHODRAMA ACTION WERE ALSO TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT AS SIGNIFICANT FACTORS. A DETAILED SCALING WAS WORKED OUT ON THE BASIS OF FOUR MAIN BEHAVIOR OBSERVATION CRITERIA: (1) ATTITUDES INCLUDING COOPERATION AND RECEPTIVITY TOWARD THOSE PERCEIVED AS COMPANION FIGURES IN ONE'S LIFE, SUCH AS FRIENDS, FELLOW OFFENDERS, AND CLOSE FAMILY MEMBERS, (2) SIMILAR ATTITUDES TOWARD THOSE PERCEIVED AS PRIMARY CHARACTERS IN ONE'S LIFE, SUCH AS FELLOW PRISONERS, LOVERS, AND PARENTS, (3) ATTITUDES OF RESPONSIBILITY TOWARD THOSE SEEN AS AUTHORITY FIGURES IN ONE'S LIFE, SUCH AS FATHER, TEACHER, AND POLICEMAN, AS WELL AS AWARENESS OF ONE'S OWN RESPONSIBILLITIES TOWARDS MEMBERS OF THE FIRST TWO GROUPS, (4) SUCH ATTITUDES AS CAPABILITY OF INDEPENDENT ACTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF CRITICISM WITH REGARD TO MEMBERS OF THE FIRST THREE GROUPS. ATTITUDES OF COOPERATION AND RECEPTIVITY TOWARD COMPANION FIGURES AND ATTITUDES OF RESPONSIBILITY TOWARD THOSE PERCEIVED AS AUTHORITY FIGURES WERE FOUND TO BE THE MOST APPLICABLE CRITERIA.
