Abstract: IN ADDITION TO DOCUMENTING TESTIMONY BY JUVENILE JUSTICE PLANNERS, LEAA AND DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE ADMINISTRATORS, AND VERMONT STATE OFFICIALS VARIOUSLY ASSAILING OR SUPPORTING FORD ADMINISTRATION PROPOSALS TO AMEND THE JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION ACT OF 1974, THIS VOLUME INCLUDES STATEMENTS FOR THE RECORD, CORRESPONDENCE, AND ASSORTED APPENDED MATERIALS COMPILED IN THE WAKE OF AN EARLY VOLUME ON THE SAME TOPIC (SEE NCJ 34545). THE APPENDED MATTER, WHICH ACCOUNTS FOR 1427 OF THE 1700 PAGES, IS ORGANIZED INTO SECTIONS DEALING WITH MATERIAL RELATIVE TO MILTON LUGER AND HIS PLANS FOR THE OFFICE OF JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION; THE JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION ACT; THE NATIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION; THE COORDINATING COUNCIL ON JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION; JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY ACT APPROPRIATIONS; FORD ADMINISTRATION DEFERRAL OF JUVENILE JUSTICE FUNDING; THE JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION ACT AND THE BUDGET RESOLUTION DEBATE AND CONTROVERSY; PROPOSED FORD ADMINISTRATION REPEAL OF THE MAINTENANCE SECTIONS OF THE JUVENILE JUSTICE ACT; AND JUVENILE JUSTICE STANDARDS.
