Annotation: THE HONOLULU POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNUAL REPORT PRESENTS AN ORGANIZATIONAL CHART OF THE AGENCY AND REVIEWS OPERATIONS AND PROGRAMS FOR THE YEAR 1976-1977. TRAINING ACTIVITIES AND COMMUNICATIONS PROJECTS ARE ALSO NOTED.
Abstract: THE DEPARTMENTAL STRUCTURE OF THE HONOLULU POLICE DEPARTMENT IS OUTLINED, AND OPERATIONS INVOLVING ORGANIZED CRIME, DRUG ABUSE, AND PROSTITUTION ARE REVIEWED. THE REORGANIZATION OF THE JUVENILE DIVISION AND CRIME PREVENTION PROGRAMS ARE NOTED. THE REPORT DESCRIBES POLICE YOUTH PROGRAMS AND SPECIAL PROJECTS INCLUDING A RESERVE OFFICERS ASSIST FORCE AND A DEAF AWARENESS PROGRAM. CRIME STATISTICS AND RATES ARE PROVIDED IN A TABLE. (DAG)
