Abstract: UNLIKE EARLIER VOLUMES, WHICH PRESENTED COMPLETE EXAMINATIONS ACTUALLY ADMINISTERED BY CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSIONS AND POLICE PERSONNEL BOARDS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY, THIS VOLUME INCLUDES SOME QUESTIONS FROM OTHER SOURCES. THESE QUESTIONS REPRESENT A TYPE OF QUESTION THAT BEGAN TO APPEAR ON PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATIONS IN THE EARLY 1970'S. COMPILERS OF THE STUDY MANUAL WERE UNABLE TO SECURE EXAMINATIONS THAT INCLUDED THIS TYPE OF QUESTION. FOR OTHER ANSWER-KEYED VOLUMES OF POLICE SERGEANT TESTS, SEE NCJ-51324 (PUBLISHED IN 1968) AND NCJ-51325 (PUBLISHED IN 1972). (LKM)
Index Term(s): Personnel promotion; Police personnel; Self instructional materials
