Abstract: THE GUIDELINES WERE FORMULATED TO ASSIST INDIANA'S JUVENILE COURT JUDGES AND OTHER PERSONS INVOLVED IN THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEMS AND TO FACILITATE INTERPRETATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE JUVENILE CODE. COMMENTARY FOCUSES ON JURISDICTION, WAIVER OF JURISDICTION, RIGHT TO COUNSEL, DETENTION, DETENTION HEARINGS, INTAKE INFORMATION, PRELIMINARY INQUIRIES, FORMAL PETITIONS, INFORMAL ADJUSTMENTS, INITIAL HEARINGS, CONDUCT OF JUVENILE PROCEEDINGS, PREDISPOSITIONAL REPORTS, DISPOSITIONS, APPEALS, EMERGENCY ORDERS, CONTEMPT POWER, AND JUVENILE COURT RECORDS.
