Annotation: AN INVENTORY OF JUVENILE PROGRAMS IN NEW HAMPSHIRE IS PRESENTED IN ORDER TO PROVIDE COURTS WITH A LISTING OF JUVENILE RESOURCES BY PROGRAM TYPE AND LOCATION.
Abstract: THE PROGRAMS ARE ORGANIZED BY COUNTY AND BY THE FOLLOWING FUNCTION CATEGORIES: DIVERSION PROGRAMS, DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES, RESIDENTIAL ALTERNATIVES, NONRESIDENTIAL ALTERNATIVES, AND SHORTTERM CRISIS SHELTERS. A STATE SERVICE SECTION PROVIDES A SUMMARY OF SERVICES AND A LIST OF LOCAL AND STATE OFFICES FOR VARIOUS STATE PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS A LIST OF IN-STATE NONPUBLIC ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS WHICH MAY ACCEPT REFERRALS FROM THE COURT. INDIVIDUAL LISTINGS INCLUDE INFORMATION ON LOCATIONS, SERVICES, FEES, REQUIREMENTS, CONTACT PERSONS, AND FUNCTIONAL CATEGORIES. NO ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE TO EVALUATE THE QUALITY OF THE PROGRAMS.
