ANOTHER SECTION DEALS WITH THE ADMINSTRATIVE OFFICE AND WITH ASPECTS OF THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM WHICH CUT ACROSS JURISDICTIONAL BOUNDARIES, SUCH AS CAPITAL PROJECTS, AFFIRMATIVE ACTION, LEGISLATION AFFECTING THE COURTS, THE LAW LIBRARY, AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROJECTS. THE HISTORY, CURRENT OPERATION, AND ANTICIPATED FUTURE DIRECTIONS OF ELECTRONIC COURT REPORTING IN ALASKA ARE ALSO PRESENTED. THE STATISTICAL SUPPLEMENT OFFERS A COMPLETE SET OF DATA FOR COURT ACTIVITIES IN 1979. DATA IS ARRANGED IN SECTIONS DEALING WITH THE SUPREME COURT, STATEWIDE TRIAL COURT, SUPERIOR COURTS, DISTRICT COURTS (HIGHER VOLUME), AND DISTRICT COURT (LOWER VOLUME). A GLOSSARY IS INCLUDED.
