Annotation: THIS REPORT PRESENTS ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND DEVELOPMENTS AT THE YOUTH RECEPTION AND CORRECTION CENTER, YARDVILLE, N.J., FOR FISCAL YEAR 1978-1979.
Abstract: YARDVILLE CENTER HOUSED AN AVERAGE DAILY POPULATION OF 753 YOUTHS FOR THIS PERIOD. THE REPORT COVERS ADMISSION AND RELEASES, THE CANTEEN, THE MENDING SHOP, MAINTENANCE, DIRECT TREATMENT PROGRAM CLASSIFICATION, THE JUVENILE SEPARATION PROCESS, AND THE MEDIUM SECURITY PROGRAM. ALSO REVIEWED ARE SOCIAL SERVICES, PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES, EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, RECREATION, HEALTH SERVICES, RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES, AND THE CUSTODY DIVISION. OTHER AREAS THAT ARE DISCUSSED INCLUDE WORK OPPORTUNITIES, THE WORK RELEASE PROGRAM, AND THE OFF-GROUNDS RESIDENTIAL UNIT, AS WELL AS THE CENTERS PLANS AND ASPIRATION FOR THE NEXT YEAR.
