Abstract: STRUCTURED AROUND THE CONCEPT OF SHAPING THE JUDICIARY OF THE FUTURE, THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE HAWAIIAN JUDICIARY BRANCH OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT FOCUSES PRIMARILY ON THE STATE SUPREME COURT; THE LAND COURT; THE TAX APPEAL COURT; APPOINTED BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS; THE TRIAL COURTS; THE CIRCUIT COURTS, FAMILY COURTS, DISTRICT COURTS; THE FIVE JUDICIAL CIRCUITS OF THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS; ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SERVICES (E.G., BUDGET AND FISCAL, AND PERSONNEL, INCLUDING JUDGES' TRAINING PROGRAMS). COURT AND ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATIONAL CHARTS ARE PROVIDED IN THE TEXT. A LIST OF PUBLICATIONS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE OFFICE OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR OF THE COURTS IS APPENDED, ALONG WITH 21 STATISTICAL TABLES REFLECTING ALL ASPECTS OF THE HAWAIIAN JUDICIARY ACTIVITIES DURING FISCAL YEAR 1978-1979.
