Annotation: BACKGROUND MATERIALS FOR TWO CORRECTIONAL HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATORS' WORKSHOPS ARE COLLECTED IN THIS VOLUME.
Abstract: THE MATERIALS INCLUDE WORKSHOP SCHEDULES, A PARTICIPANT'S GUIDE, AND MANUALS FOCUSING ON THE FOLLOWING SUBJECT AREAS: (1) KNOWLEDGE UTILIZATION; (2) REFERENCE MATERIALS ON STRESS THEORY AND RESEARCH, INCLUDING A STEP-BY-STEP INSERVICE PROGRAM MODEL FOR CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS; (3) THE DECISIONMAKING PROCESS; (4) A LONG-TERM TRAINING PROGRAM FOR CORRECTIONAL WORKERS; (5) NEW TRENDS IN CORRECTIONAL HEALTH CARE DELIVERY; (6) STEPS TO ACHIEVING QUALITY MEDICAL RECORDS IN PRISONS; AND (7) THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS. THE WORKSHOPS WERE HELD BY THE UNIVERSITY'S OF MICHIGAN'S DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH SCIENCE AND FUNDED BY LEAA. TABLES, CHARTS, AND SAMPLE HEALTH CARE FORMS ARE INCLUDED.
