Abstract: The work is designed to aid police in identification of firearms. The main section lists books, reviews, and catalogs according to the categories of specialized technical reviews, arms catalogs, general studies of firearms, weapons of war, hunting weapons, handguns, cartridges and ammunition, ballistics, manufacture and repair of firearms, and nonspecialized and technical reviews. The second section describes the most important existing police files for firearms identification, i.e., those of Metzger, the White Laboratory, and the French National Police. The addresses of publishers and samples of cards used by the firearms information services are supplied. --in French.
