Abstract: The do's and don'ts of planning home improvements are given in this film that follows a family's decision to build an addition to the home and the problems that can result from quick negotiations with a single contractor. The film emphasizes the importance of taking time to make decisions, of drawing up detailed home improvement plans, and of inviting several bids from reputable contractors.
