Annotation: DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRESS REPORTS OF THE INTERSTATE SYSTEM FOR ELECTRONIC ANALYSIS AND RETRIEVAL OF CRIMINAL HISTORIES (SEARCH).
Abstract: PROJECT OBJECTIVES WERE TO ESTABLISH AND DEMONSTRATE THE FEASIBILITY OF AN ON-LINE SYSTEM ALLOWING FOR THE INTERSTATE TRANSFER OF CRIMINAL HISTORIES AND TO DESIGN AND DEMONSTRATE A COMPUTERIZED STATISTICS SYSTEM BASED ON THE ACCOUNTING OF INDIVIDUAL OFFENDERS PROCEEDING THROUGH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. SUBREPORTS DISCUSS THE SYSTEM'S USE BY POLICE, COURTS AND CORRECTIONS PLUS OTHER CONSIDERATIONS SUCH AS INFORMATION SECURITY AND DATA MANAGEMENT.
