Annotation: The booklet, which is designed to assist student counselors and their student clients in selecting courses related to public safety management, outlines sample undergraduate programs available at almost all senior institutions of higher education in Virginia.
Abstract: The programs are designed for the student just entering college and are also applicable to older students who attend evening college classes or who attend on a part-time basis. Thirty-three Virginia colleges and universities are represented in the report. Each school provides a list of baccalaureate programs that may be useful in planning a career in public safety management. The programs emphasize management and administration and have a strong liberal arts base. Semester hours required under each program are listed and major and minor fields are included in some cases. State government management positions and salary grades are also listed.
