Annotation: New Jersey's index offense and arrest statistics, presented in narrative, graphic, and tabular form, show a 10 percent increase in total crime for 1980 over 1979. Index offense data include the volume/rate, trends, arrests, and clearance rates for each crime type.
Abstract: Crime data are also presented by State, city, county, population-size groupings, and campuses. State police employee data, statistics on the one officer killed and the 4,279 assaulted, and information on the Uniform Crime Reporting Program are provided.
